Dominican urban artist Tokischa, who has become a worldwide phenomenon, celebrates her nomination for the “Tu Música Urbano 2022” awards in the “Best Dembow Artist” and “Best Dembow Song” categories, being the only woman in both nominations competing alongside her colleagues El Alfa, Chimbala, Amenazzy, Kiko El Crazy, and Rochy RD.
It should be noted that this recent nomination is added to the list of recognitions that the artist has received. Since her nomination to the iHeartRadio Awards as “Best New Artist”, her performance at the Billboard Awards, her recognition in Billboard magazine’s list of “22 Latin Artists to Watch in 2022”, her Gold Record and Double Multi-Platinum, among others. These are just some of her achievements this year.
According to reactions from her followers and influencers Tokischa became the favorite in both nominations, displacing El Alfa who previously occupied the first place. However, the final result will be known during the third edition of the 2022 Premios Tu Música Urbano, which will be broadcast live on Telemundo network next Thursday, June 23, from San Juan, Puerto Rico.
