Il Divo (Billboard Latin Awards 2016)

After a decade since its first performance in the country, the opera-pop quartet “Il Divo” will be back on Dominican soil next Saturday, February 23 with a concert that is part of its world tour called “Timeless” and will be held at the Filmore Hall of the Hard Rock Hotel where it will celebrate its fifteenth anniversary and Casino Punta Cana, said Saymon Diaz from SD Concerts.

“Timeless” is the name of their most recent album as well as the fifteenth anniversary celebration tour, because fifteen years ago Urs Bühler, Sebastien Izambard, Carlos Marín and David Miller were reunited by American producer Simon Cowell and opened the way to “pop-lyric”, a completely innovative musical genre with its debut album “Il Divo” (“divine artist”, in Italian) in 2004.

In this gala, the Dominican public will not only be delighted with the new songs, but it will also enjoy a review of fifteen years of good music in which “Il Divo” has defended hits such as “Unbreak My Heart” and “The Time Of Our Lives”, coupled with a seductive display of dance, scenography and lighting technology.

Undoubtedly a quartet that over the years continues to steal sighs from fans around the world, with 30 million albums sold, 50 productions number one, 160 gold and platinum prizes in more than 33 countries, and, even, an entry in 2006 in the Guinness Book of Records as the most commercially successful international pop project in history.

Tickets for the concert in Punta Cana will be available from Thursday, January 10 through www.tuboleta.com.do, as well as at La Sirena Stores, Pola supermarkets, Listin Diario Reader Club, Ticketexpress, Spring Center.
