Route du Rhum–Destination Guadeloupe: Rony Théophile, the king of biguine, delighted his fans

On Wednesday, November 14, the audience had a meeting with Rony Théophile who performed on the podium of the Memorial ACTe on the occasion of this 11th edition of the Route du Rhum-Destination Guadeloupe. Just before his concert, two singers of the island occupied the stage: Krystal and Martine Sylvestre (Biguine Award in 2003). Through the many songs he performed, Rony Théophile – who was accompanied by talented musicians such as well-known bass guitarist, Frédéric Caracas – invited to visit his Guadeloupean and more widely Caribbean music world with rhythms of biguine, gwoka, salsa among others for the delight of the audience.

All along the concert, this traditional music lover was in perfect communion with the members of the audience; the one who became recently the president of the hundred-year-old association “Les Cuisinières de la Guadeloupe” even decided to go off stage to sing and dance in the crowd. It must be said that the singer who is also an excellent dancer accompanied all his songs by some dance steps and, when the show started and ended, two lovely dancers came on stage to perform with him…

Rony Théophile’s show ended in joy at 10:30 pm with his famous song titled “Zozio-la” requested from the beginning of the concert by a fan...
