Paola Gabriel returns with the song “Il est en toi”

Better known by her first name “Paola”, Guadeloupean singer, who is famous in the zouk scene, has just released the song “Il est en toi”.

It must be said that since 2017, the artist has been coaching the youth choir “Les Anges de Massabielle”. She also participates in various initiatives to support the development of young people, “who are the future of a people”, she says, especially alongside the JMJistes of the Diocese of Guadeloupe.

To make this self-produced album a reality, Paola received the support of her family and friends, whom she warmly thanked. On the professional side, she collaborated with Dave Martial (mixing) and Daniel Trépy (mastering).

The video for this new song was released on July 13 and was directed by Jean-Marc Yéponde.

Paola Gabriel, or Paola, has a solid artistic career spanning more than thirty years. She first participated in singing competitions such as “La course aux talents” organized by Jean-Michel Bellejambe, where she won first prize. She sang “Sa ké chanjé” in a duet with Jean-Luc Hégésippe. She then became a backing vocalist for Winny Kaona, Moune de Rivel, Kafé, and Chiktay. She was a member of the group K.Ravan’, which in the 1990s spread the good vibes of zouk on stages across the Caribbean, Europe, Africa etc. In 1997, the singer released her first big hit, “Fragile”, an adaptation of “Pour que tu m’aimes encore” by Jean-Jacques Goldman produced by K.Ravan’. That same year, Paola received the “Award for Best Caribbean Zouk Group” in St Martin for her band. At that time, Paola rubbed shoulders with many stars of zouk and gwoka music… Tanya Saint-Val invited her to perform at her concert at the Zénith in Paris. The popular artist interrupted her career in 2009 to become a mom.

Since 2022, Paola has been performing on stage again. The singer became an actress by creating the musical “Le monde merveilleux de la princesse Paola” for children aged 4 to 12. She then appeared as an extra in two episodes of the British series “Death in Paradise” filmed in Guadeloupe.
