“El galán del merengue” was one of the artists who entertained the massive event.

Eddy Herrera’s hits were sung and danced by more than 350,000 people who gathered at the 2026 Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival, this year dedicated to Latin rhythms.
Accompanied by a dance troupe led by dancer and choreographer Marcos VIP, “El galán del merengue” took over the huge stage, thrilling the massive audience to the rhythm of merengue.
With “Pégame tu Vicio”, “Carolina”, “Si yo se lo pido”, “Para siempre”, “A dormir juntitos”, “Un idiota”, “La última vez”, “Ahora soy yo”, “Tú Eres Ajena”, among other songs, Eddy Herrera represented the Dominican Republic at this major event that brought together talent from various countries.

“I am excited and happy to be able to continue bringing our merengue to so many cultures, so many beautiful people from different parts of the world gathered in the heart of this huge carnival singing my songs, that fills me with great satisfaction”, said Herrera.
This carnival, held in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, one of the cities located in the Canary Islands of Spain, was also attended by Nicky Jam, Sebastián Yatra, and Leoni Torres, on Saturday, February 21.
