This Tuesday, February 21, 2023, Mardi Gras, was much awaited by all. Thousands of carnival-goers and spectators (locals and tourists) gathered in the streets of the capital to celebrate King Vaval without any warning from the health authorities about Covid-19. From noon to midnight, the Guadeloupean carnival with its music, songs, dances, and shimmering colors created a crazy atmosphere in Basse-Terre. We knew that this edition was very anticipated considering the thousands of connections of Internet users to view the program of the carnival of Guadeloupe published by kariculture.
