More than 7,000 visitors are invited to come and discover the 57 booths showcasing works by over a hundred local and international artists from June 26 to 28, 2026, during the 17th edition of the Pool Art Fair Guadeloupe. The guest of honor is Cameroonian visual artist Barthélemy Toguo.

The archipelago’s largest contemporary art fair will open this Thursday, June 25, starting at 6:00 pm at the Pointe-à-Pitre cruise terminal. During this opening reception, political and cultural representatives will deliver speeches, and guests will be the first to enjoy all the works. This annual event will continue on June 26, 27, and 28 for the general public from noon to 8:00 pm. Five conferences/meetings are scheduled, including one on “The Art of the Diaspora”, which took place on Wednesday, June 24, at the Arawak Beach Resort; on Friday, June 26, discussions will focus on “Art Criticism”.
The public – including more than 600 schoolchildren – will be able to visit 57 booths showcasing the work of over 100 local and international artists (from Guadeloupe, Germany, Antigua, Belgium, Brazil, Cameroon, Spain, the United States, France, Gabon, French Guiana, Haiti, Japan, Madagascar, Mali, Martinique, São Tomé and Príncipe, Senegal, Togo, etc.).

The guest of honor for this 17th edition is Barthélemy Toguo. The renowned Cameroonian artist, whose works are exhibited in several major galleries, is the founder of Bandjoun Station, an artist residency that hosts artists and researchers from around the world. He will be accompanied in Guadeloupe by two artists, Alexis Pesquine and Malala Andrianavidrazana, who will exhibit at his booth. His schedule is very busy, as he will, among other things, create a monumental artwork with artists and students and participate in various meetings.
