For the first time on national television, Crespo will perform his hit “Me Mataron” alongside El Blachy.

Global artist Elvis Crespo returns to Top Chef VIP tonight to celebrate the grand finale in his own way: with music. As he said goodbye to his fellow on the day he left the reality show, Crespo promised to return, and he kept his word.

With an energetic musical performance, Elvis will present his hit “Me Mataron” for the first time on national television alongside El Blachy, a performance that promises to explode the set of Top Chef VIP. The grand finale will take place tonight at 7:00 pm EST and will be broadcast on Telemundo in the U.S. and Telemundo Internacional in Latin America, with the episode available the next day on the Peacock streaming service.

“Returning to Top Chef VIP for the grand finale is like completing a cycle with great affection. When I joined the show, I didn’t know how to cook, but I had the opportunity to participate in Top Chef VIP and I loved the project, a first-rate cast, I love them all very much”, said Elvis Crespo.

“I left the show not because I wanted to leave, but because the album started to smash it. Coming back now to sing a song from that same album in the finale is a tribute to my teammates and to that difficult decision we made. I am grateful to have been part of something so special, and now I come back with music, which is my very essence”, he concluded.

“Me Mataron” is the second song in a musical trilogy included in his album Poeta Herío, a proposal that combines traditional Dominican merengue with Crespo’s modern and distinctive style. The song, which is about heartbreak with an irresistible energy for the dance floor, has deeply connected with the audience. The video, directed by Mikel de la Cruz and Raúl Antonio, was filmed at “El Colmado” in Higüey, Dominican Republic, a symbolic place that represents the heart of Latin community life.

Elvis Crespo made a strong comeback in 2025 with his album Poeta Herío, marking a deeply personal chapter in his legendary career. The album has reached a massive audience in the United States, Latin America, Spain, and the Caribbean, thanks to the fusion of his unmistakable style, vibrant rhythms, and collaborations that have united generations of artists, including Arcángel, Ebenezer Guerra, El Blachy, Fariana, Ivy Queen, Jerry Rivera, La Insuperable, Luck-Ra, Oscarito, Toño Rosario, and Víctor Manuelle. Celebrating his return to the top of the radio charts in the US and the Dominican Republic with multiple successful collaborations, such as “Nuestra Canción”, “Luna Llena” with Ebenezer Guerra, “Cora Roto” with Arcángel, and “Me Mataron” with El Blachy, Crespo continues to reaffirm his relevance and innovation in Latin music. Elvis is currently celebrating his success on his “Bodega Tour 2025: El Barrio Canta”, a tour that makes surprise visits to iconic bodegas and grocery stores in different cities in Puerto Rico and the United States, celebrating the authenticity and culture of the Latin community.
