Pointe-à-Pitre Centre des Métiers d’Art invites you to its open day

After a two-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown measures, the Centre des Métiers d’Art in Pointe-à-Pitre (CMA) is organizing its traditional “Open Day” on Saturday, September 10, 2022 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.

This event, which is usually a great success, is an opportunity for the public to meet the various trainers and to discover, through workshops and demonstrations, the fifteen or so artistic and craft disciplines taught: drawing, plastic arts, pottery, modeling, photography, comics, graphic design, basketry, sewing, floral design, modeling/sculpting, paper mache, 3 arts…

If you are a child, a teenager, an adult, a person with reduced mobility, a retired person or a job seeker, you will certainly find an activity to practice, especially on Wednesdays and Saturdays, that will allow you to thrive.

Created in 1973, the Centre des Métiers d’Art, which is run by Martine Céraphe-Ardens, will celebrate its 50th anniversary next year. The association is supported by the city of Pointe-à-Pitre and the Department of Cultural Affairs of Guadeloupe (DAC).
