Mat le Buzz on tour in Martinique and Guadeloupe with his show “Mes Peurs”

The comedian will stop first, on April 20, in Martinique where he will perform at the Tropiques Atrium in Fort-de-France and then on April 28, he will be in Guadeloupe at the Ciné-Théâtre in Le Lamentin. Mat le Buzz will have in his suitcase his first show entitled “Mes Peurs” (My fears) which he has just presented in Paris sold out.

“Why my fears? I like the idea of thinking that the world today scares me even if the subjects of my fears are quite light. This is where the fun begins”, he says.

His audience in both islands as well as all those who do not yet know his sketches will not miss this meeting with the one who, in 2015, was named the 9th most influential personality of the French overseas territories. In fact, it was that year that his career really exploded as he began performing on stage with the K’ribbean Stand Up troupe after two years of videos broadcast online and millions of views.

“I get on stage because it was one of my “career” goals and a childhood dream. I like being in front of my audience. On social networks, it’s virtual. This is the real thing. It’s great to be able to meet my audience live”, says the artist.

Born in the city of Les Abymes to a mother from Guadeloupe and a father from France, young Mathew discovered this artistic world when he left to continue his studies in Paris.

Indeed, in 2012, a year after he settled in the French capital, he decided to participate in a video contest for the channel M6. His first work was broadcast on the Dailymotion platform. Then everything went very quickly : Mathew (his real name) became Mat to which he added “le Buzz” because he likes “to do original things in the street every day”; Mat le Buzz released a parody of the “Kinder Bueno” ad that quickly exceeded 500,000 views; he created his YouTube channel and launched into the world of podcasts; he also created his Facebook page; in 2014, he joined the WiiP series.

The recognition came in 2016: Mat le Buzz saw his name on the bill of the Olympia, the famous Parisian venue, where he was the opening act for two well-known Guadeloupean comedians, Pascal Moesta and Christian Geoffroy with their show “Dézòdyè”. The comedian will perform again as opening act for Anthony Kavanagh in Martinique and Kassav’ at the Zénith in Paris.

Today, after ten years in the world of humor, Mat le Buzz hopes that his first show “Mes Peurs” where he is the only one on the bill will seduce Martinicans and Guadeloupeans and above all make them laugh…
