This single marks the start of an EP the band is currently working on
With a mix of traditional and contemporary merengue, Leclerc Band releases “Te Amo”, a merengue version of the famous song by maestro Franco De Vita, arranged by Isaías Leclerc and produced by Isaías Leclerc and Rafael Ortega.
“Te Amo” is a proposal that incorporates modern shades that seek to touch new generations, without losing the essence of traditional merengue, bringing elegance and freshness to the genre.
The single, which paves the way for the EP the band is currently working on, is accompanied by a video directed by Derhian Paul and Cmar Visión, filmed in the studio during the recording session, authentically capturing the energy and creative process behind the project.
“This song is our musical motivation letter. With this track, we seek to connect the audience with the sound that defines Leclerc Band: a fresh, innovative, and energetic merengue, where we fuse modern rhythms with diverse genres. The musical arrangement gives this project a unique identity, based on a composition by the renowned Franco de Vita”, explained Isaías Leclerc.
The project was born as a tribute to the best of Dominican music, especially merengue. Although the idea had been in development for several years, it was in 2024 that it finally came to fruition. Its musical concept is oriented toward the interpretation of various genres, with a main focus on merengue, aimed at the Latin tropical market.
More than just a musical project, it represents a rewarding experience that combines vision, identity, and talent of an orchestra composed of professional musicians and close friends.
