True to his image as a committed and authentic artist, he delivers here a project deeply rooted in his identity, where content and form go hand in hand” (…) ‘Koérans’ stands out as an accomplished work, a perfect balance between depth and accessibility, destined to resonate far beyond our borders”.

This fourth album – after “An Silens”, released in 2018, “An Kè Wouvè”, offered in 2013 and “Pli Lwen Ki Zyé”, presented in 2009 – will be available on all download platforms on May 2. This new journey into Misié Sadik’s universe is divided into 16 stages, i.e. 16 tracks (including an introduction and an interlude) with lyrics written in Creole by the artist himself. There are two featurings: “Tèlman Dou” with Guadeloupean urban singer Matieu White, who is making a career for himself in mainland France, and “Enkondisyonèl” with Guyanese zouk star Fanny J. The artist’s themes include colonization, violence, drugs, injustice, love…
Misié Sadik - 2Misié Sadik, “the boss”, wished to make a sensational comeback by choosing the track
“An Myèt” (a mix of rap, dancehall and trap) to launch the “Koréans” album. The video, posted on YouTube a month ago, was filmed by Jima Kanor, the well-known Martinican director. This year, by deciding to produce his music under his own label, Blue Box Records, the singer is asserting his artistic independence.

Misié Sadik, an essential figure in Guadeloupean urban music, was born in Les Abymes in 1983, but grew up in Sainte-Anne (home to the Guadeloupe Gwoka Festival), where he discovered music at an early age thanks to his father, a drummer, and his drum-ka lessons at the Georges Troupé workshop. As a teenager, he developed a passion for French rap and joined the local underground scene through Kollectif Westside. At the age of 26, he scored a hit with the track “On Sèl Kou”, which allowed him to perform at the Scène Bastille in Paris in 2010, and open for former French rapper Diam’s at the Baie-Mahault stadium.

Misié Sadik’s career reached several levels thanks to other titles such as “Alzheimer”, and he started to collect several nominations and awards: “Prix de la Révélation Sacem 2010”, “Prix Coup de Coeur de la Région Guadeloupe / Élwa d’Or 2012”, “Best Album, Hit Lokal Awards 2013 and 2018”, “Tottem de la Non-violence 2015”, “Parrain de l’association France Alzheimer Guadeloupe 2015”, “Artiste de l’Année 2018”, “Ambassadeur du Prix de l’Audace 2024″…

In addition to local stages, Misié Sadik has performed at Tropiques Atrium in Martinique and at Scène Bastille, La Cigale, Casino de Paris, in France…
