“Architecture and Heritage Days in the Caribbean 2021” take place this weekend

The Memorial of the 1902 disaster / Frank A. Perret Museum bears witness to the eruption of Montagne Pelée and the destruction of the city of Saint-Pierre on May 8, 1902.

Fort Fleur d'Épée 1

On September 1, the Ministry of Culture announced the cancellation of the 2021 European Heritage Days (EHD) due to the health crisis. A revised edition adapted to Guadeloupe and Martinique has therefore been set up from October 15 to 17 on the same dates as the National Architecture Days (JNA). The theme chosen was “Architecture and Heritage Days in the Caribbean” (JAPA). Participants who had already registered could postpone their events in October and new registrations were also possible.

This weekend, many visits (some are online) are possible on the two Caribbean territories, check the agendas: https://openagenda.com/jnarchi-2021-guadeloupe and https://openagenda.com/jnarchi-2021-martinique
