World Kréyol Art Festival: “Just Graff it” was a great success!

This Sunday, May 12 was the last day of the operation “Just Graff it”, started on Saturday, May 4, which consisted of painting frescoes in several neighborhoods of the city of Pointe-à-Pitre in Guadeloupe. This artistic event which is part of the “World Kreyol Art Festival”, organized by Guadeloupean artist Al Pacman, was a real success. Indeed, the inhabitants affected by this operation highly appreciated the beautification of their living environment by the sixty graffiti artists from France, Martinique and Guadeloupe. People and tourists have roamed the streets to take pictures, shoot videos and meet the authors of these works. These really talented artists gave a real lesson of kindness, simplicity and readiness to some cultural actors who, we hope, will be inspired to democratize the art on the island. If on this occasion, the painting was out of museums and galleries to go down the streets, it can now enter all the houses of Guadeloupe so do not hesitate to contact these graffiti artists if you want them to realize the fresco of your choice at home… We look forward to the 2020 edition of “Just Graff it”! However, the festival of street arts is not over, it continues until May 25 (see the program that we published on May 6).
