The singer-songwriter brought his hits to the diaspora in a concert in which participated José Alberto “El Canario” and El Blachy, with a moving appearance by his daughter, Natalia Herrera

The New York audience confirmed once again why Eddy Herrera is the most outstanding Dominican merengue artist at the international level. The diaspora that joined him on Saturday, March 21 at the Lehman Center for the Performing Arts completely filled the auditorium and enjoyed an exquisite best-of of the greatest hits by “El galán del merengue”.
“A Night with Eddy Herrera” brought together an audience spanning several generations who gathered for the show, which kicked off with the songs: “Pégame tu vicio”, “Remember”, “Ahora soy yo”, “Carolina”, “Demasiado romántica”, “Un idiota” and “La última vez”.

A giant screen displaying various images, a dance troupe that made each song their own, and an orchestra worthy of the artist were the perfect complement, filling with emotions the wonderful audience present at the prestigious theater.
The big surprise of the evening and the most emotional moment was seeing Eddy introduce his daughter Natalia Herrera on stage and sing “A dormir juntitos” together, a moment the audience applauded and enjoyed from start to finish. Eddy’s youngest daughter, who will graduate from Berklee College next May, also performed “Que hubiera sido”.

“I would like to thank each and every one of you, who are such close people to me, such special people”, Herrera said, stressing that a few years ago he had a full house on that same stage and that, at the request of his audience, history repeated itself.
In a show filled with musical hits, the Latin Grammy winner for “Best Merengue Album” shone in every song and gave his all with love and affection to his fans with “Demasiado niña” and “Para siempre”, the latter song was performed by a couple who came on stage to express their love and dance to the track.

After this romantic moment, the atmosphere enlivened again with “La bailadora”, accompanied by dancers dressed in red, on a choreography by Marcos VIP.
And if anything characterizes Herrera’s career, it is his versatility, and he gave the audience a taste of it by performing a medley of hits by musical legends José José, Nino Bravo, and Luis Miguel.

The theater also vibrated to the rhythm of traditional music and salsa with two great representatives: José Alberto “El Canario” and El Blachy, who were present with a unique and electrifying performance.
The first to take the stage was El Blachy. The singer performed “El Jardinero”, “Hola perdida” and “Una noche” showcasing the talent of his generation in grand style.

After a third costume change, Eddy Herrera set the theater ablaze with the hits “Si yo se lo pido”, “El trago” and “Me siento bien”, before s aying goodbye. He then he gave up the place to “El Canario”, who performed his hits “Bailemos otra vez” and “Sueño contigo” among others.
The big night ended with “Tu eres ajena”. “Thank you, I am extremely happy and grateful. May God bless you all”, said El Galán del Merengue as he took his leave after a spectacular concert, produced by Raposo Events and under the artistic direction of Claudio De La Cruz.
