Reggae icon Buju Banton added another accolade to his celebrated career after being named Male Reggae Artist of the Year at the 2026 Caribbean Music Awards. The ceremony, held at the National Academy for the Performing Arts in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, marked the first staging of the Caribbean Music Awards (CMA) in the region following three years in Brooklyn, New York.
The recognition comes amid a strong year for Buju, including the release of his latest album, Too Too Bad, via VP Records. The 13-track project debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart, adding another chapter to the Grammy-winning artist’s enduring presence in reggae.
