Route du Rhum-Destination Guadeloupe: Stéphane Castry came with his “Basstry Therapy”

Stéphane Castry was the guest on the artistic stage of the 11th edition and 40th anniversary of the mythical Route du Rhum-Destination Guadeloupe, on Wednesday November 21 between 7:30 pm and 8:30 pm at the Memorial ACTe in Pointe-à-Pitre. Acompanied by three musicians including the well-known drummer Sony Troupé, a singer and a poet, the talented Guadeloupean bass guitarist introduced to the audience his first album with fifteen tracks, titled “Basstry Therapy” that released in 2017. The spectators discovered a music world where Caribbean rhythms mix with funk of the 1970s and jazz. If some people discovered the artist who however worked with music stars like “Kassav”, Keziah Jones, Angélique Kidjo or Imany and heard carefully his compositions, others were fans and spoke very highly of him…

Like other artists and bands who performed on this stage, Stéphane Castry (brother of the drummer Jérôme Castry) could sale and sign his record after his concert, a way of promoting himself better on his island, he was born in France 45 ago.
