Marylène Agat inaugurated her cultural space and her exhibition “Cô Vid”

The exhibition “Cô Vid”, composed of twenty paintings, can be visited from April 25 to May 31, 2022 in Lasserre, Morne-à-l’Eau.

Friday, April 23 was a great day for Marylène Agat “Homme de Lumière” (Man of Light). Indeed, the artist organized the opening of her new painting exhibition entitled “Cô Vid”, (Corps Vide, in French ; Empty Body, in English), a theme inspired by the Covid-19 pandemic. In a future interview, Martinican plastic artist who has been living in Guadeloupe for many years will tell us more about the choice of this theme.

This Friday, the eve of the second round of the French presidential elections in the French Caribbean, nearly thirty people very close to the artist were present, unfortunately because of the health crisis that persists even if various restrictions have been lifted by the Prefecture, it was necessary to limit the number of guests.

Moreover, as we had announced in a previous article, all the rooms in Pointe-à-Pitre are currently provided for payment.

After a word of welcome from Marylène Agat, the public continued to discover the works and exchange with the plastic artist who had prepared a buffet with local ingredients…
