Guadeloupean painter Jérôme Sainte-Luce exhibits “Figi” at Tropiques Atrium in Martinique

The Martinican audience interested in discovering pre-Columbian civilizations is currently satisfied: in addition to the major exhibition entitled “Aux origines de la Caraïbe: Taïnos & Kalinagos” (To the Origins of the Caribbean: Taínos & Kalinagos), on display at the Fondation Clément in Le François, they will also be able to discover Jérôme Sainte-Luce’s beautiful exhibition entitled “Figi” (Faces) at Tropiques Atrium, Scène nationale in Fort-de-France.

Through some fifty works (some of which are monumental), the Guadeloupean painter continues to explore Amerindian culture, being himself originally from Trois-Rivières, a town whose territory contains vestiges of the first peoples of the Caribbean.

The “Figi” exhibition can be seen at the André Arsenec Gallery from January 13 to February 14, 2026, with the artist in attendance on certain days. The opening will be held on Monday, January 12, at 5:00 pm.
