The celebration organized by the singer will take place on Saturday, November 7, 2026.
It’s impossible to miss the large billboards installed along several major roads across the archipelago, announcing Francky Vincent’s celebratory concert at the Amédée Detraux Velodrome in Baie-Mahault, Guadeloupe, on Saturday, November 7, at 8:00 pm.
Settled in France for several years, the singer-songwriter and producer who has sold over 3 million albums wanted to return home – where it all began with the band Tabou Numéro 2 (a nod to the famous Haitian group Tabou Combo) – to present a show that promises to be memorable.
The day will start at noon with the opening of several cultural, culinary, and associative spaces, etc. Now, the 70-year-old artist who is known for his naughty songs is in excellent physical condition, which can be seen during rehearsals with his seven musicians and two backup singers. On stage for more than two hours, Franck Vincent – aka Francky Vincent – will perform (often with a lot of humor) about thirty of his greatest hits – including“La vie en rose”, “O law kalé”, “Sans chapeau”, “Braguette d’or”, “Le lolo”, “Manzè Lola”, “Piña colada”, “Alice ça glisse”, “Fruit de la passion”, “Aka Manman”, “Don’t look back”, “Jalousie tropicale”, “Le tourment d’amour” – from his repertoire of no fewer than 200 songs.
If during the first 18 years of his career on his native island, many people sang songs by “Francky, the rude boy” or “Francky, the porno boy” in secret or in hushed tones, as generations have changed, we bet that everyone will sing at the top of their lungs and without inhibition during this event.
The artist had left Guadeloupe in the early 1990s for mainland France, where his career took off with the release of two refreshed tracks: “Fruit de la passion” – with its famous chorus “Vas-y Francky, c’est bon” – and “Alice ça glisse”.
