It was with joy and gratitude that Eddy Herrera received the Latin Grammy statuette in the category “Best Merengue and/or Bachata Album” for his album “Novato Apostador”, the singer-songwriter’s 18th album, produced by big names in the industry such as Manuel Tejada, Junior Cabrera, Edwin García, Moisés Sánchez, Antonio González, and Juan Daniel Montero.
“It’s a magical moment, a great moment for me and for a great team that has been working with me for so many years, especially all the producers of this album, the musicians and composers, the entire staff in my company, my family, my brothers, my daughters, but above all to my wife and manager Martha Herrera, who has been by my side for 38 years”, said El galán del merengue when he received the prestigious award.
Herrera thanked everyone involved in this 13-song album production. “Manuel Tejada and all the producers of this album, and all of you, really, thank you Latin America and finally, thank you to the academy, I’m taking this back to the Dominican Republic!”, he emphasized.
“Y cómo te olvido” with more than three million views on YouTube, was the first single released from this production, which includes other tracks such as “Novato Apostador”, “Si no era yo”, “Te vas de mí”, “La adicta”, “Interesada”, “Tú me querías”, “Nada qué hacer”, “Te lo di todo” and “Así si e’ bueno”
This album was executive produced by Eddy Herrera under the umbrella of Intermusic, SRL, and features songs written by composers Martín De León, Enghel Mata, Giordano Morel, Kelvin Mejía, Gustavo Matheus, César David Castro, Lanny Pimentel, Delvi Cruz Landestoy, and Vicente Alberto Montaño Valdez.
While Allan Leschhorn, Boris Milán, Antonio González, and Sarah Tejada were in charge of mixing. The mastering was done by Boris Milán, and the distribution by Symphony Latino.
