Guadeloupean singer, Were Vana, will be in concert on September 26, 8:00 pm, at the Palais des Sports de Gosier in Guadeloupe.
Were Vana was born into a family where traditional music is not just a legacy but a daily presence. He was rocked by Gwoka since his early years and this music shaped the sensibility of the man who would become Were Vana. He ventured beyond this family foundation to meet other styles and energies, an openness that would later nurture the diversity of his artistic world.
His career gained an initial boost thanks to a duet with Misié Sadik, “Padoné Mwen”.
In 2017, everything changed with the success of the tracks “Komprann sé jé” and “Doudou”. The latter track became a hit and the artist won the Hit Lokal Awards in 2017 and again in 2018 for Artist of the Year, Most-Played Artist, and Zouk Artist.
In 2018, the year of his first sold-out concert, he received the Dancehall Artist of the Year award. He continued his rise with “An Chwazi’w”. In September 2020, a new chapter started with a signing with Just Winner and Play Two. After a long break, he returned in 2025 with the hit “Tèt Kolé” and, in 2026, two more collaborations – one with Misié Sadik and the other with Rachelle Allison – two hits that heralded his upcoming fourth album.
