“PAG” Exhibition: When Architecture and Art meet at the Memorial ACTe

The Architecture cycle continues until April 24, 2022 at the temporary exhibition hall of the Memorial ACTe (MACTe), in Pointe-à-Pitre. Around the exhibition “Prix d’Architecture de Guadeloupe” (PAG), several meetings between architects and artists are scheduled for the public. This week, don’t miss the Café Archi and the meeting with artist Chantaléa Commin on art in the service of architecture.

Prix d'Architecture de Guadeloupe 7

The “PAG” exhibition is dedicated to the 60 projects of the participants in the Guadeloupe Architecture Prize. Divided into 8 typological categories – from the plans of the individual house to the urban space development project – it allows to discover a large panel of the talent and creativity of the architects in the archipelago.

Around this exhibition co-produced by the MACTe and La Maison de l’architecture de Guadeloupe, several meetings and activities for the public are scheduled.

CAFÉ-ARCHI

Friday, February 18 at 6:30 pm at the Auditorium : Screening of “The Black Museum” by Oliver Hardt on the construction of the National Museum of African American History and Culture, in Washington D. C., as part of the Black History Month.

The meetings with the architects and artists who participated in the “PAG” exhibition take place every Saturday at 10:00 am according to the following schedule:

Saturday, February 26 at 10:00 am : Fabien Doré and Michael Marton, winners of the Sité (Block) category – Theme: “Social housing: density without promiscuity”

Saturday, March 5 at 10:00 am : Anthony Vila “Antonwé” (artist) – Theme: “Récup’Art & Recycl’Art in the service of architecture”

Saturday, March 12 at 10:00 am : Périne Huguet, National Park, winner in the Aktivité (Activity) category – Theme: “Bioclimatic architecture in the humid tropical environment: a win-win bet!”

Saturday, March 19 at 10:00 am : Marc Jalet, winner in the Zékipmen é Koté toutmoun pé mété pyé (Facilities and places where everyone can go) category – Theme: “Urban renewal, Pointe-à-Pitre”
