Banco de Reservas reiterated its commitment to promoting Dominican art and culture by announcing its participation as a sponsor of the 2026 edition of the Soberano Awards, the main awards ceremony recognizing the talent and careers of the country’s artists and media professionals.

Banreservas’ CEO, Dr. Leonardo Aguilera, stated that supporting the Soberano Awards is part of the bank’s vision to promote cultural expressions that represent Dominican identity.

“At Banco de Reservas, the bank of all Dominicans, we are committed to promoting the best of culture and art made by and for Dominicans. Our artists and communicators will always find a home at Banreservas that supports their talent and contribution to the country’s cultural development”, said Aguilera.

The executive added that supporting the Soberano Awards and its organizers, the Association of Art Critics (Acroarte), is also a way to recognize the efforts of generations of artists, producers, media professionals, and technicians who, through their work, bring visibility to Dominican creativity both within and outside the country.

As part of this support for the ceremony, which will be held on March 18 and produced by César Suárez Jr., Banreservas will create a special experience allowing a couple of clients and employees of the institution to experience the awards ceremony like true entertainment stars, enjoying every moment of the gala in person.

Those selected will have the opportunity to enjoy a complete experience that will include styling advice, wardrobe, preliminary preparation, and access to the red carpet, where they will walk alongside the nominated artists and personalities, while enjoying the ceremony from inside the Eduardo Brito National Theater.

Aguilera stressed that this support for the arts sector is also reflected in initiatives launched during his tenure, such as the opening of the Banreservas Santiago Cultural Center in the Northern Zone, a space that has been open to the public since last November with a permanent program of exhibitions, concerts, artistic performances, and cultural activities.

This cultural center has become a hub for promoting Dominican talent, allowing citizens and foreign visitors to enjoy music, visual arts, and works by renowned Creole artists, thus strengthening access to culture and the development of the national creative industry.
