Following 2023’s Destiny, Alborosie readies his ninth full-length album, Nine Mile, out October 24. Named for Bob Marley’s birthplace, the album was recorded at his Kingston-based Shengen Studio and shifts between lovers rock, roots reggae, and cross-cultural detours, folding in global influences from 80s rock and new wave to bossa nova.
To introduce the record, Alborosie has shared “Trench Town Legend” a tribute to reggae’s global reach and the Kingston community that shaped its earliest sounds. The visualizer, filmed largely on location in Trench Town, frames the song as both homage and continuation. (VP RECORDS)
